Guide to the application process for different types of courses
There are two routes for applying to study at the University of Bedfordshire; direct, using the University's own application form, or via UCAS.
The information included on individual course descriptions and the guidelines in this section will help you establish which is the right application route for the course you want to study.

Full-time courses - apply via UCAS
The normal application route for most full-time undergraduate and foundation courses is via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
We expect to receive UCAS applications between 1 September and 15 January for courses starting in the following academic year but may be able to consider applications received after this date should places be available.
Please contact Admissions for further details.
All UK schools and colleges are registered with UCAS to manage their students' applications. Advice on how to submit your UCAS application is available from your school or college.
If you are not at school or college you should apply independently via UCAS. Mature students should also apply via UCAS.
All applications via UCAS must now be made online. If you are unable to apply online, please contact the UCAS Customer Relations Team on +44 (0)870 1122211.

Feedback and appeals
The University is committed to the provision of high quality, fair and transparent admissions procedures for all our applicants.
There may, however, be occasions when an applicant will wish to ask why their application has been rejected or believe that they have cause for a complaint or to make an appeal against the decision.
Feedback is defined as the communication from the University to an applicant, on request from the applicant, who has been unsuccessful in gaining an offer of a place.
A complaint is defined as an expression of dissatisfaction either about the way in which an application has been handled or the outcome of the selection or fees classification process – it may concern actions or inaction by the University or its staff.
An appeal is defined as a request for a formal review of the outcome of an admissions decision.
